Sonia Sabina Draga (ur. 31 października 1967 w Katowicach) – polska wydawczyni, działaczka społeczna i przedsiębiorczyni, założycielka i redaktor naczelna Grupy Wydawniczej Sonia Draga, w latach 2020-2024 prezes Polskiej Izby Książki. Od 2024 prezes Federacji Europejskich Wydawców.

Założycielka Wydawnictwa Sonia Draga i prezes Grupy Wydawniczej Sonia Draga, w skład której wchodzą także Wydawnictwo Debit oraz imprinty: Post Factum, Młody Book i Non Stop Comics. Jest właścicielką dwóch księgarń, w Chorzowie i Katowicach.

Działalnością wydawniczą zajmuje się od 2000 jako prezeska zarządu Wydawnictwa Sonia Draga. Wcześniej, przez dziesięć lat, jej firma specjalizowała się wyłącznie w imporcie i dystrybucji samochodowego sprzętu audio. Pierwszą książką, jaką wydała, było Stereo w twoim samochodzie w tłumaczeniu właścicielki oficyny. W ramach swojego wydawnictwa opublikowała m.in. twórczość Dana Browna, E.L. James, Jonathana Franzena, Eleny Ferrante i innych autorów.

Przez wiele lat była wiceprezesem Regionalnej Izby Gospodarczej w Katowicach, a od czerwca 2016 r. jest członkiem zarządu Targi Książki Sp. z o.o. organizującej m.in. Warszawskie Targi Książki czy Śląskie Targi Książki. W 2013 została zaproszona do grona stu Ambasadorek Przedsiębiorczości Kobiet w Polsce.

„…Spotykaliśmy się przy różnych okazjach związanych z książkami, ale fotografowałem ją 1 września 2017 w księgarni nieopodal pl.Zbawiciela w Warszawie, gdzie podpisała mi swoją książkę „Świat w obiektywie” z której dowiedziałem się, że zajmuje się również fotografią…” – Czesław Czapliński.

Była gospodynią programu TVP3 Katowice Śląskie czyta. We wrześniu 2007 ukazała się książka Meksyk. Kraj kontrastów ze zdjęciami jej autorstwa i tekstem Łukasza Gołębiewskiego. W listopadzie 2009 wydała album ze swoimi zdjęciami Świat w moim obiektywie, a jesienią 2010 własną książkę podróżniczą RPA – kraj niespodzianek.

W latach 2020–2024 pełniła funkcję prezesa Polskiej Izby Książki. 5 listopada 2024 została wybrana na stanowisko prezesa Federacji Europejskich Wydawców.

Nagrody i odznaczenia:

Wydawnictwo Sonia Draga zostało nagrodzone przez Magazyn Literacki „Książki” tytułem Wydawca Roku 2012.

Za swoje zasługi odznaczona Srebrnym Krzyżem Zasługi (2000) oraz Kawalerskim Orderem Narodowym Zasługi przyznanym przez Prezydenta Francji. W lipcu 2015 otrzymała „Odznakę Honorową za Zasługi dla Rozwoju Gospodarki Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej”.

W grudniu 2019 roku została wyróżniona Pamiątkowym Medalem PTWK za działalność na rzecz książki i kultury. W 2020 roku magazyn Home & Market uznał Sonię Dragę za jedną z pięćdziesięciu najbardziej wpływowych kobiet w Polsce.

Ukończyła studia w Akademii Ekonomicznej im. Karola Adamieckiego w Katowicach (obecnie Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Katowicach). Zna kilka języków obcych, w tym: angielski, francuski, hiszpański, włoski. Ma syna.

Sonia Sabina Draga (born 31 October 1967 in Katowice) is a Polish publisher, social activist, and entrepreneur. She is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Sonia Draga Publishing Group. From 2020 to 2024, she served as President of the Polish Book Chamber, and since 2024 she has been President of the European Publishers Federation.

She is the founder of Sonia Draga Publishing House and President of the Sonia Draga Publishing Group, which also includes Debit Publishing House and the imprints Post Factum, Młody Book, and Non Stop Comics. She also owns two bookstores located in Chorzów and Katowice.

She has been involved in publishing since 2000 as President of the Management Board of Sonia Draga Publishing House. Prior to that, for ten years her company specialized exclusively in the import and distribution of car audio equipment. The first book she published was Stereo in Your Car, translated by the founder herself. Through her publishing house, she has introduced works by authors such as Dan Brown, E.L. James, Jonathan Franzen, Elena Ferrante, and many others to the Polish market.

For many years, she served as Vice President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice. Since June 2016, she has been a member of the Management Board of Targi Książki Sp. z o.o., the company that organizes major literary events including the Warsaw Book Fair and the Silesian Book Fair. In 2013, she was invited to join the group of one hundred Ambassadors of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Poland.

She was also the host of the TVP3 Katowice television program Śląskie Czyta (Silesia Reads).

In September 2007, the book Mexico: A Land of Contrasts, featuring her photographs and text by Łukasz Gołębiewski, was published. In November 2009, she released a photographic album titled The World Through My Lens, and in autumn 2010 she published her own travel book, South Africa – A Land of Surprises.

From 2020 to 2024, she served as President of the Polish Book Chamber.

On 5 November 2024, she was elected President of the European Publishers Federation.

Awards and Honors:

Sonia Draga Publishing House was awarded the title of Publisher of the Year 2012 by the literary magazine Książki.

For her achievements, Sonia Draga has been awarded the Silver Cross of Merit (2000) and the Knight of the National Order of Merit, conferred by the President of France. In July 2015, she received the Honorary Badge for Merits to the Development of the Economy of the Republic of Poland.

In December 2019, she was honored with the Commemorative Medal of the Polish Book Publishers Association (PTWK) for her contributions to books and culture. In 2020, Home & Market magazine named Sonia Draga one of the fifty most influential women in Poland.

She graduated from the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice (now the University of Economics in Katowice). She speaks several foreign languages, including English, French, Spanish, and Italian. She has a son.
