Katarzyna Rosłaniec (ur. 23 listopada 1980 w Malborku) – polska reżyserka i scenarzystka filmowa. 

Absolwentka ekonomii na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim (2004), reżyserii w Warszawskiej Szkole Filmowej (2006) oraz kursu fabularnego w Mistrzowskiej Szkole Reżyserii Filmowej Andrzeja Wajdy (2008). Członkini Polskiej Akademii Filmowej i Stowarzyszenia Filmowców Polskich.

         „…Katarzynę Rosłaniec spotkałem i fotografowałem 8 grudnia 2013 r. w Nowym Jorku. W czasie naszego spaceru zrobiłem serię zdjęć, które idealnie wpasowały się w krajobraz Nowego Jorku. Muszę powiedzieć, że z perspektywy czasu było to niezwykłe spotkanie, mam nadzieję, że widać to na zdjęciach, którewówczas powstały…” – Czesław Czapliński.

„…Jeśli myślisz o sobie, że jesteś centrum wszechświata, najważniejszy i najfajniejszy, a innych masz gdzieś, to skończysz w samotności. Jeśli ja w ogóle na ciebie nie patrzę, a ty nie spoglądasz na mnie, to zostaje nam pustka. A człowiek jest przecież stworzony, żeby budować relacje. To proste: jeden plus jeden, Adam i Ewa, czarne i białe. To potrzeba biologiczna. A szatan podpowiada: „Wcale nie! Sam sobie wystarczasz”. To ostatnio bardzo modna postawa.  

Jak byłam nastolatką, czytałam w gazetach, że trzeba się koncentrować na sobie i dążyć do samorealizacji. Wielu w to uwierzyło i mamy w rezultacie pokolenie egoistów. Ludzi tak zapatrzonych w siebie, że nie mają czasu ani ochoty oddawać części swojego życia drugiej osobie. Poświęcenie jest według nich przereklamowane. Albo w ogóle rezygnują z głębszych związków, albo szybko się z nich wycofują, gdy coś zaczyna im nie pasować…” – Katarzyna Rosłaniec.

Katarzyna Rosłaniec (born November 23, 1980, in Malbork) – Polish film director and screenwriter.

She graduated in Economics from the University of Gdańsk (2004), in Directing from the Warsaw Film School (2006), and completed a feature course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing (2008). Member of the Polish Film Academy and the Polish Filmmakers Association.

They think sacrifice is overrated. They either give up on deeper relationships altogether or withdraw quickly when something doesn’t suit them anymore…” – Katarzyna Rosłaniec.

“…‘This film looks as if it was written and directed by a 13-year-old,’ said Andrzej Wajda after the screening of Mall Girls. The young director, however, didn’t seem to be bothered by the master’s words. On the contrary, she took his criticism as a compliment. ‘Without overanalyzing – saying that a script about a teenage girl sounds like it was written by a teenage girl is the best kind of feedback. Probably every screenwriter would like to write in the language of their protagonist, though it doesn’t always work out,’ Rosłaniec said in an interview for Zwierciadło magazine. ‘I felt honored by Mr. Andrzej Wajda’s enthusiasm, by his emotional reaction. It means the film fulfilled its purpose,’ she added.
