Julian Binderman ur. 24 VI 1970 r. w Rawie Mazowieckiej, absolwent Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego na Wydział Filozofii i Prawa (1997).

Malarstwem zajmuje się od dawna. Pasjonat sztuki, filozofii i estetyki. Z domu rodzinnego wyniósł zainteresowanie różnymi dziedzinami wiedzy. Ta z kolei zaprowadziła go do malarstwa. Część rodziny Bindermanów wyemigrowała do Izraela, pozostali do Ameryki.

Niejako w genach ma ciekawość świata, pęd do zrozumienia istoty rzeczywistości i zmysł artystyczny. Dziedziny nauki, które szczególnie go interesują to m.in. neurobiologia, kosmologia, a także fizyka kwantowa. Nauka, oprócz malarstwa to jego druga pasja. Binderman szuka w niej odpowiedzi na pytania związane z fascynującymi go pojęciami, takimi, jak wszechświat, jego nieograniczoność i nieskończoność.

Fundamentalny charakter tych zagadnień sprawia, że nauka, w tym współczesna fizyka, pozostaje wobec nich bezradna. Wystarczy wspomnieć stałą kosmologiczną. Dlatego to właśnie w malarstwie autor próbuje uchwycić te pojęcia i przedstawić je w sposób nie budzący obaw i lęku.

Malarstwo Bindermana stara się oswoić lęki i niewiedzę, uspokoić związane z nimi emocje. Barwy i kompozycje, za pomocą których autor przedstawia ważne dla niego tematy mają w założeniu wprowadzać odbiorcę w stan kontemplacji i spokoju.

Odpowiedzi tu nie ma, jest namysł i zachwyt nad naturą wszechświata oraz znikomością roli, jaką pełni w nim człowiek.

Obrazy Juliana Bindermana mają dawać emocje, ponieważ to dzięki nim człowiek, jako istota rozumna, rozwija się i jest twórczy. Poprzez tytuły swoich prac autor zaprasza nas niejako w podróż po kosmosie, przedstawiając jednocześnie wybrane osiągnięcia nauki w dziedzinie fizyki. Z niej bowiem wszystko wynika. Słowa to język, a ten odnosi się do rozumu, pozwala opisać uczucia i formułować pojęcia. Emocje należą do nas, do poszczególnych jednostek, każdy przeżywa je inaczej, patrząc na przedstawiane przez autora obrazy.

Malarstwo Juliana Bindermana napędzane jest przez wolność i nieograniczoność umysłu, które paradoksalnie są także motorem rozwoju nauki.

PORTRAIT with HISTORY Julian Binderman

Julian Binderman, born on June 24, 1970, in Rawa Mazowiecka, graduated from the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Philosophy and Law (1997).

He has been involved in painting for many years. A passionate admirer of art, philosophy, and aesthetics, he inherited from his family home a deep interest in various fields of knowledge, which ultimately led him to painting. Part of the Binderman family emigrated to Israel, while others moved to America. In a sense, curiosity about the world, the drive to understand the essence of reality, and artistic sensitivity are embedded in his genes.

Among the scientific disciplines that particularly fascinate him are neurobiology, cosmology, and quantum physics. Science, alongside painting, is his second great passion. Through it, Binderman seeks answers to questions connected with concepts that fascinate him, such as the universe, its boundlessness, and infinity. The fundamental nature of these issues renders science — including contemporary physics — helpless in the face of them. One need only mention the cosmological constant. Therefore, it is precisely through painting that the artist attempts to capture these concepts and present them in a way that does not evoke fear or anxiety.

Binderman’s painting seeks to tame fears and ignorance, soothing the emotions associated with them. The colors and compositions through which the artist presents themes important to him are intended to guide the viewer into a state of contemplation and calm. There are no definitive answers here; instead, there is reflection and wonder at the nature of the universe and the insignificance of the role humanity plays within it.

The paintings of Julian Binderman are meant to evoke emotions, because it is through emotions that human beings, as rational creatures, develop and create. Through the titles of his works, the artist invites us on a journey through the cosmos, while simultaneously presenting selected achievements of science in the field of physics, from which everything derives. Words are a language, and language relates to reason — it allows us to describe feelings and formulate concepts. Emotions belong to us as individuals; each person experiences them differently while viewing the images presented by the artist.

The painting of Julian Binderman is driven by freedom and the boundlessness of the mind, which paradoxically are also the driving forces behind the development of science.
