Dr. Benjamin Spock (ur. 2 maja 1903 w New Haven, zm. 15 marca 1998 w La Jolla) – amerykański pediatra, autor podręczników wychowania dzieci, mistrz olimpijski w wioślarstwie.

W młodości uprawiał wioślarstwo. Wystąpił na igrzyskach olimpijskich w Paryżu w 1924, gdzie reprezentanci Stanów Zjednoczonych w składzie: Leonard Carpenter, Howard Kingsbury, Alfred Lindley, John Miller, James Rockefeller, Frederick Sheffield, Benjamin Spock, Alfred Wilson i Laurence Stoddard (sternik) zdobyli złoty medal w ósemkach. W finale o ponad 15 sekund wyprzedzili drugich na mecie Kanadyjczyków. Był to jego jedyny start olimpijski. 

W 1972 wystartował w wyborach prezydenckich z ramienia Partii Ludowej. Otrzymał 78,759 głosów, około 0,1% wszystkich oddanych głosów.

Jane pomagała Spockowi w badaniach i pisaniu książki Dr. Spock's Baby & Child Care, wydanej w 1946 roku przez Duell, Sloan & Pearce pod tytułem The Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care. Książka sprzedała się w ponad 50 milionach egzemplarzy w 42 językach.

  Benjamin Spock (May 2, 1903 – March 15, 1998) was an American pediatrician whose book Baby and Child Care (1946) is one of the best-sellers of all time. The book said to mothers "you know more than you think you do".

Spock was the first pediatrician to study psychoanalysis to try to understand children's needs. His ideas influenced parents to be more flexible and affectionate with their children, and to treat them as individuals. However, his theories were also widely criticized by colleagues. According to the critics, he relied too heavily on anecdotal evidence rather than serious academic research.

Spock was regarded as a radical during the troubled times of the Vietnam War.

Spock won an Olympic gold medal in rowing in 1924 while attending Yale University.
