Adam Gessler (ur. 12 września 1955 w Warszawie) –restaurator, firmujący swoim nazwiskiem sieć restauracji, początkowo aktor.
Autor książki kulinarnej Smaki na 52 tygodnie (2011).
Grał w filmach m.in. 1977: Sprawa Gorgonowej jako Ołeś, więzień polityczny (nie występuje w napisach); 1977: Akcja pod Arsenałem jako Tytus; 1978: Szpital przemienienia jako pacjent szpitala; 2010: Śniadanie do łóżka jako właściciel restauracji 2010–2011: Wściekłe gary (TVP1) jako prowadzący Kawa czy herbata? (TVP2); 2012: Euro według Gesslera jako prowadzący.
W 2010 roku Adam Gessler prowadził magazyn kulinarny Wściekłe gary. Emitowany przez Telewizję Polską program reklamował restauratora hasłami typu Midas polskiego restauratorstwa, człowiek-instytucja, według jednych geniusz, według innych szarlatan.
Jest synem Zbigniewa Gesslera, przedsiębiorcy i restauratora, oraz Wandy z domu Marciniak, malarki. Jego brat, Piotr Gessler, również był restauratorem (był żonaty m.in. z Magdą oraz Martą Gessler). Adam Gessler ma dwóch synów: Mateusza z pierwszą żoną, Joanną Roqueblave i Adama Szczęsnego z drugą żoną, Joanną Sobieską-Gessler.
Adam Gessler zajmuje pierwsze miejsce na liście dłużników warszawskiego Przedsiębiorstwa Gospodarki Mieszkaniowej (zarządcy miejskich lokali). Przyczyną zadłużenia było nieregulowanie czynszu za wynajem lokalu (m.in. Restauracja Krokodyl, Karczma Wojtkowice, Dom Restauracyjny Gessler) na Rynku Staromiejskim w latach 1992–2007. W 2007 r. komornik przeprowadził eksmisję z zadłużonego lokalu i nadal prowadzi egzekucję długu. W październiku 2013 r. komornik zlicytował dom dłużnika za kwotę 3,85 mln zł.
Muszę powiedzieć tak, że jak jest z długami Adama Gesslera, nie wiem, a w sumie zupełnie mnie to nie interesuje. Dla mnie Adam Gessler, to kontynuator najlepszych przedwojennych tradycji kulinarnych w nowej rzeczywistości. Zawsze w muszce, elegancki, szarmancki, mistrz ceremonii, niezwykły gawędziarz. Jak go widzę, to czuję się jak przed wojną, mimo, że wtedy jeszcze nie żyłem, ale widziałem to na zdjęciach i filmach. Stworzył legendarnego Krokodyla na Starym Mieście i Stajnię Chojnów pod Warszawą, prowadził m.in. restaurację “U Kucharzy” (wyróżnienie Przewodnika Michelin w 2009), bistro a la Fourchette “Przekąski-Zakąski”, krakowską restaurację “Gessler we Francuskim”, a w Londynie restaurację z polską kuchnią “Gessler at Daquise”.
Bardzo lubie obecnie odwiedzać Adama Gesslera w jego restauracji na Pl. Trzech Krzyży 18 w Warszawie. Ale portrety głównie robiłem jemu i synom w Hotelu Francuskim w Krakowie “Gessler we Francuskim” oraz w Restauracji Arsenał w Warszawie. Kiedy przy deserze zapytałem go skąd wziął taką idee restauracji, powiedział: „…Kiedy otwierałem pierwszą restaurację, spytałem mojego Tatę, co powinienem wiedzieć o restauratorstwie. Odpowiedział mi: "To bardzo proste, synku. Dawaj ludziom to wszystko, co sam chciałbyś dostać i czego byś sam oczekiwał w restauracji."

In 2010, Adam Gessler ran the culinary magazine Wściekłe gary. The program broadcast by Telewizja Polska advertised the restaurateur with slogans such as the Midas of Polish restaurateurs, a man-institution, a genius according to some, a charlatan according to others.
He is the son of Zbigniew Gessler, an entrepreneur and restaurateur, and Wanda née Marciniak, a painter. His brother, Piotr Gessler, was also a restaurateur (he was married to, among others, Magda and Marta Gessler). Adam Gessler has two sons: Mateusz with his first wife, Joanna Roqueblave, and Adam Szczęsny with his second wife, Joanna Sobieska-Gessler.
Adam Gessler ranks first on the list of debtors of the Warsaw-based Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Mieszkaniowej (administrator of municipal premises). The reason for the debt was failure to pay the rent for the premises (among others, Restauracja Krokodyl, Karczma Wojtkowice, Dom Restauracyjny Gessler) on the Old Town Square in the years 1992–2007. In 2007, the bailiff carried out an eviction from the indebted premises and is still enforcing the debt. In October 2013, the bailiff auctioned off the debtor's house for PLN 3.85 million.
I have to say that I don't know about Adam Gessler's debts, and I'm not interested in it at all. For me, Adam Gessler is a continuator of the best pre-war culinary traditions in the new reality. Always in a bow tie, elegant, gallant, master of ceremonies, an extraordinary storyteller. When I see it, I feel like before the war, even though I wasn't alive then, but I saw it in photos and films. He created the legendary Krokodyl in the Old Town and the Chojnów Stable near Warsaw. the “U Kucharzy” restaurant (a Michelin Guide award in 2009), the “Przekąski-Zakąski” bistro a la Fourchette, the “Gessler we Francuskie” restaurant in Krakow, and the “Gessler at Daquise” restaurant with Polish cuisine in London.
I really like visiting Adam Gessler in his restaurant at Pl. Trzech Krzyży 18 in Warsaw. But I mainly took portraits of him and his sons at the Hotel Francuskie in Krakow "Gessler we Francuskie" and at the Arsenal Restaurant in Warsaw. When, over dessert, I asked him where he got the idea of a restaurant, he said: “…when I opened my first restaurant, I asked my Dad what I should know about restaurant business. He replied, "It's very simple, my son. Give people everything you would like to get and what you would expect in a restaurant."
