Wojciech Siudmak (ur. 10 października 1942 w Wieluniu) – artysta malarz i rzeźbiarz.
W latach 1956–1961 uczył się w Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych w Warszawie a następnie studiował w ASP w Warszawie. We wrześniu 1966 r. wyjechał do Paryża i rozpoczął studia w Ecole des Beaux-Arts, gdzie mieszka i tworzy.
Wojciech Siudmak jest uważany za przedstawiciela realizmu fantastycznego, mającego swoje korzenie w surrealizmie reprezentowanego m.in. przez Dalego czy Magritte’a, których inspirowała sztuka Renesansu oraz Baroku.
Jego obrazy stały się symbolami graficznymi wielkich festiwali w Cannes, Montrealu, Paryżu, pojawiają się od wielu lat na okładkach płyt i książek we Francji, Niemczech i Stanach Zjednoczonych. Siudmak pracuje nad cyklem obrazów, rysunków i rzeźb poświęconym „Nokturnom” Fryderyka Chopina.
W 1998 rozpoczął się cykl wystaw retrospektywnych „Fantastyczne światy Wojtka Siudmaka”, pierwsza wielka wystawa retrospektywna odbyła się w 1989 roku w Palais de Tokyo – Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Paryżu, a następnie m.in. w muzeach Łodzi, Wielunia, Zielonej Góry, Legnicy, Muzeum Narodowym w Warszawie, Szczecinie, Kielcach, Wrocławiu, Toruniu, Katowicach, Wieluniu.
Szczególnie prestiżową była wystawa w 2000 roku na wieży Eiffla w Paryżu, z okazji rozpoczęcia III Tysiąclecia. W otwarciu tej legendarnej wystawy Siudmaka uczestniczyłem 8 czerwca 2000 r. Kilka dni wcześniej w jego paryskim studio i w wybranych miejscach w Paryżu, które dla niego były ważne, fotografowałem Siudmaka, jako element Paryża, gdzie nieprzerwanie mieszka, przez kilkadziesiąt lat. W ekskluzywnym wernisażu, wziął udział cały kulturalny Paryż. Na wystawie był również jeden z największych na świecie radioastronom, który przyleciał z Ameryki, odkrył piersze planety poza układem słoneczym, otarł się o Nobla i napisał essej do wystawy „O Wszechświecie we śnie i na jawie”:
„…W gorącą, lipcową noc na Florydzie, wracam z Cape Canaveral, wciąż przeżywając dopiero co rozegrany dramat nieudanego startu promu kosmicznego Kolumbia, orzeczeniem komputera, które później okaże się pomyłką, skazanego na pozostanie na Ziemi. Wpatrzony w noc za szybą samochodu uświadamiam sobie, że to przeżycie czyni moją stale obecną fascynację Kosmosem jeszcze silniejszą i wzmaga pragnienie, aby wreszcie uwolnić się od ograniczeń, którymi tak bezwzględnie krępują mnie przestrzeń i czas. Z dziwnie kojącym, sennym uczuciem ulgi pomieszanej z podziwem i odrobiną zazdrości, myślę o Wojtku Siudmaku i cudownej swobodzie, z jaką tworzy on światy, które muszą pozostać zamknięte przede mną, badaczem Wszechświata – złotej klatki stworzonej przez prawa przyrody. A może Siudmak po prostu zrozumiał jakąś oczywistą prawdę o naszym związku z Kosmosem, a ja ciągle jeszcze odnajduję ją tylko w fantazjach i sennych marzeniach?...”.
Ta wystawa po Paryżu pokazana była w muzeach i ośrodkach kultury we Francji takich jak: Loudun, Aix-les-Bains, Cannes, Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Tropez, Sannois, Grande-Synthe/Dunkierka, Gaillac, Metz, Sainte-Savine, Sèvres, Grenoble, Reims, Luneville, symbolizując wejście w nowe Tysiąclecie, tworząc wieź między światem fantazji artysty a perspektywą przyszłości.
W lutym 2000 roku odbyła się gigantyczna projekcja dzieł Siudmaka na fasadzie świątyni Ramzesa III w Luksorze w Egipcie.
Siudmak wielokrotnie wyróżniany i nagradzany m.in. otrzymał tytuł Honorowego Obywatela Miasta Wielunia w Polsce oraz miast Ozoir-la-Ferrière i Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes we Francji, 26 marca 1999 r. - Krzyż Oficerski Orderu Zasługi RP w Paryżu; 8 czerwca 2013 r. - Wielki Złoty Medal Akademii Art‑Sciences‑Lettres w Paryżu (Grande Médaille d'Or avec Plaquette d'Honneur); 22 października 2014 r. w Poznaniu Wojciech Siudmak został wyróżniony Statuetką Złotego Hipolita, a w 2015 r. złotą statuetką „Oxygenusa”; 5 kwietnia 2016 r. - laureat trzeciej edycji konkursu „Wybitny Polak” we Francji w kategorii „Kultura”.
Z inicjatywy Wojciecha Siudmaka powstała w 2002 r. Fundacja Siudmak Arkana XXI i stworzył „Światowy Projekt Pokoju”, którego symbolem jest monument „Wieczna Miłość”. Rzeźba „Wieczna Miłość” odlana z brązu o wysokości 4,5 m została odsłonięta w Wieluniu 31 sierpnia 2013 r. i zawiera przesłanie pokojowego współistnienia kierowane do świata z miasta, które stało się pierwszą ofiarą agresji Niemiec hitlerowskich na Polskę w dniu 1 września 1939 r. Nalot przeprowadzono nagle, bez wypowiedzenia wojny Polsce przez III Rzeszę. Jego skutkiem było zniszczenie zabudowy miejscowości w 75 procentach, ze szpitalem i zabytkami włącznie.
W 2012 r. Siudmak ufundował Nagrodę Pokoju – „Wieczna Miłość”. Pierwsza Gala Pokoju i ceremonia wręczenia Nagrody Pokoju odbyła się w Filharmonii Świętokrzyskiej w Kielcach 1 września 2013 r. Laureatem został wielki polski kompozytor Wojciech Kilar.

Wojciech Siudmak (born October 10, 1942 in Wieluń) - painter and sculptor.
In the years 1956–1961 he studied at the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Warsaw and then he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In September 1966 he left for Paris and began studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, where he lives and works.
Wojciech Siudmak is considered to be a representative of fantastic realism, having its roots in surrealism represented, among others, by by Dali or Magritte, who were inspired by the art of the Renaissance and Baroque.
His paintings have become graphic symbols of great festivals in Cannes, Montreal, Paris, and have been appearing for many years on the covers of albums and books in France, Germany and the United States. Siudmak is working on a series of paintings, drawings and sculptures devoted to Fryderyk Chopin's Nocturnes.
In 1998, the series of retrospective exhibitions "Fantastic worlds of Wojtek Siudmak" began, the first large retrospective exhibition took place in 1989 at the Palais de Tokyo - Museum of Modern Art in Paris, and then, inter alia, in the museums of Łódź, Wieluń, Zielona Góra, Legnica, the National Museum in Warsaw, Szczecin, Kielce, Wrocław, Toruń, Katowice, Wieluń.
The exhibition in 2000 at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on the occasion of the beginning of the Third Millennium was particularly prestigious. I participated in the opening of this legendary Siudmak exhibition on June 8, 2000. A few days earlier, in his Paris studio and in selected places in Paris that were important to him, I photographed Siudmak as an element of Paris, where he lives continuously for several dozen years. The entire cultural Paris took part in the exclusive vernissage. The exhibition also featured one of the world's largest radio astronomers who flew from America, discovered the first planets outside the solar system, rubbed against the Nobel Prize and wrote an essay for the exhibition "On the Universe in a Dream and Daydream": "... On a hot July night in Florida, I return from Cape Canaveral, still reliving the newly played drama of the Columbia failed launch, a computer judgment that would later turn out to be a mistake, doomed to remain on Earth." Staring at the night behind the car window, I realize that this experience makes my constantly present fascination with the cosmos even stronger and increases my desire to finally free myself from the limitations with which space and time so ruthlessly bind me. With a strangely soothing, sleepy feeling of relief mixed with admiration and a bit of jealousy, I think of Wojtek Siudmak and the wonderful freedom with which he creates worlds that must remain closed to me, an explorer of the Universe - a golden cage created by the laws of nature. Or maybe Siudmak simply understood some obvious truth about our relationship with the Cosmos, and I still find it only in fantasies and dreams? ... ”.
This Paris exhibition was shown in museums and cultural centers in France such as: Loudun, Aix-les-Bains, Cannes, Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Tropez, Sannois, Grande-Synthe / Dunkerque, Gaillac, Metz, Sainte-Savine, Sèvres, Grenoble, Reims, Luneville, symbolizing entry into the new Millennium, creating a bond between the world of the artist's fantasy and the perspective of the future.
In February 2000, a gigantic projection of Siudmak's works took place on the facade of the Temple of Ramses III in Luxor, Egypt.
Siudmak has been awarded and awarded many times, incl. he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Wieluń in Poland and the cities of Ozoir-la-Ferrière and Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes in France, March 26, 1999 - Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland in Paris; June 8, 2013 - Grand Gold Medal of the Academy of Art Sciences Lettres in Paris (Grande Médaille d'Or avec Plaquette d'Honneur); On October 22, 2014 in Poznań, Wojciech Siudmak was awarded with the Golden Hippolytus Statuette, and in 2015 with the golden Oxygenus statuette; April 5, 2016 - laureate of the third edition of the "Outstanding Pole" competition in France in the "Culture" category.
On the initiative of Wojciech Siudmak, the Siudmak Arkana XXI Foundation was established in 2002 and created the "World Peace Project", whose symbol is the monument "Eternal Love". The 4.5 m high bronze sculpture "Eternal Love" was unveiled in Wieluń on August 31, 2013 and contains a message of peaceful coexistence sent to the world from the city that became the first victim of Nazi Germany's aggression against Poland on September 1, 1939. The raid was carried out suddenly, without any declaration of war to Poland by the Third Reich. It resulted in the destruction of the town's buildings in 75%, including the hospital and monuments.
In 2012, Siudmak founded the Peace Prize - "Eternal Love". The first Peace Gala and the Peace Prize award ceremony took place at the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce on September 1, 2013. The winner was the great Polish composer Wojciech Kilar.
